The International
Poultry Council has reelected
Jim Sumner as
president. Sumner
is president of the
USA Poultry &
Egg Export Council.
Joining Sumner on the executive committee are Tage Lysgaard of a.v.e.c.,
the European Poultry Association,
as ;rst vice president; Ricardo Santin
of ABEF, the Brazilian Association of
Poultry Producers and Exporters, as
second vice president; Cesar de Anda
of UNA, the Mexican Poultry Producers Association, as treasurer; and
at-large members, Dr. Mohammed el-Shafei of Egypt and Dr. Wang Xiulin
of the China Poultry Association.
IPC members approved Dr. Vivien
Kite, deputy executive director of the
Australian Chicken Meat Federation,
as an additional at-large member of
the executive committee.
Key Technology announces the ap-
pointment of Randy Unterseher as
senior director of marketing. In this
new position, Unterseher is respon-
sible for leading worldwide market-
ing activities for Key’s automated
inspection and sorting systems, spe-
cialized conveying and processing
equipment. Unterseher has been with
Key Technology for 19 years. For the
past ;ve years, he has been director
of sales operations.
Bob Christenson has been promoted to product manager for controls
for Chore-Time’s Egg Production
Systems business unit. Christenson
will oversee development of Chore-Time’s Chore-Tronics line of climate
and whole house controls as well as
complementary software, scale systems and other products related to
the control and monitoring of poultry house equipment and the analysis
and reporting of house performance
data. Christenson began his career
at Chore-Time in 1998 as a technical
service representative and most recently served as a product specialist
for the controls line. ■
