Plant Manager

FOSTER FARMS, a $2 billion fully integrated, family owned food company with a track record of success has an excellent career opportunity for a Plant Manager at one of our Fresno, Ca. facilities.

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading a high speed production, 24 hour operation with over 700 employees. This individual will ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, act as a change-agent and help drive operational initiatives at the plant level. Primary responsibilities include:

✽ Providing a clear vision to production and the production support teams as to the desired results. ✽ Providing hands-on leadership to guide production and related support teams.

✽ Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations, legislation and alignment to all corporate processes and programs.

✽ Supports the organizations’ efforts to create a positive work environment.

Requirements

• B.S. /B.A., Business Administration, Operations Management or manufacturing concentration or three to five years related Operations experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education or experience.

• Plus five ( 5) years experience in a food-manufacturing environment with direct hands-on involvement in GMP programs and practices.

• Experience in a union environment preferred.

• A solid understanding of machinery and the ability to optimize high speed production.

• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint. SAP experience is preferred, but not required.

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
