producers in the world. BRF produces 36
million turkeys annually. Once the merger
process with Sadia is complete, BRF will

became a wholly owned subsidiary of
BRF, but the companies will continue to
maintain their operations entirely separate
until CADE publicly announces its position
on the merger.

Keystone Foods LLC of West Conshohocken,
Pennsylvania. In April 2011, Marfrig and
Beijing-based Cofco Ltd. jointly invested
$252 million in six food-distribution centers
in China. Marfrig said later in a regulatory
;ling that it also agreed to a venture with
Weifang, China-based Chinwiz to invest
$57 million in poultry production. Marfrig’s
subsidiary, Keystone Foods, will retain 45%
of the venture with Cofco and 60% of the
business with Chinwiz.
